Fidelis sent out a release late yesterday on Kerry's international filibuster that you can read here.

Charlie Hurt writes about it today in this piece in today's Washington Times.

I'm not asking to be banned, but it's clear that many politicians of both parties only pretend to take their work seriously.

Kerry just happens to be the bumbler of the moment. I do wish he would find something else to do on a permanent basis though. Adventure guide maybe.

Kerry is in the rather rarified category of not bothering to pretend to take his work seriously.

I'll bet Kerry sees his role as unofficial ambassador to the rest of the world. He's sort of the interpreter between people who drink tea with their pinky in the air, and us uncivilized animals.

Over in Davos, they're probably congratulating him on his courage and Quixote-like determination to do what is obviously the right thing, in the face of teeth-gnashing from the Left and derision from the Right. If he weren't in Switzerland, he may not even have bothered with this idiotic idea.

In professional performing arts organizations, you will often see a gesture performed with both hands moving vertically up and down, the palms facing each other. This is often used to privately react to the shenanigans of the higher-ups and the divas. I may get banned if I elaborate, but I think you get the idea. That's what Kerry is doing.

He was just reporting for duty.  He takes orders.  He doesn't give them.

I cannot understand Kerry, the guy doesn't even pretend to do his job.  What a clown.  He and Dean are such freakshows.

You think Nightline will run a piece similar to their Scalia smear about Kerry's ski "junket"?

Heh. yeah.

I'm going to send him a copy of Picasso's Don Quixote...

That's our Senator Nuance!  The wrong thing, the wrong way, the wrong time - always.

And now, back to the chalet where the Senator gets in tune with Middle America.

Since he's skiing in Europe, will he actually blame a European when he falls?

Excellent Idea... if Teresa ever kicks him to the curb he can go into business for himself.

The prime opportunity is for Kerry to run a small cruiseline up and down Vietnam rivers. Booking will full as the boat only seats 8 and the season only lasts 3 months*. Leave your camera at home as lots of movies and pictures are taken by the crew so you can have this trip "Seared in My Memory" as well.

*A special Tour runs to Cambodia on a special midnight Christmas cruise.
