White House makes a good move.  First one in a while...maybe an auspicious beginning to a revitalized administration.

been rumored for some time now, but he has a bright future.

Hopefully a salt mine in Louisiana needs a backup miner.

who's going to pick up the fight for liberal Connie Callahan as the next Bush SCOTUS nominee?

To anyone who lived through the slow-motion political trainwreck that was the Bush41 administration a lot of history seemed to be repeating itself with self-inflicted gutshots like the Harriet Miers fiasco. In my view, Andy Card was the architect of a lot of this.

You're thinking of Michael Bolton.

... looks like he needs to spend more time with his family, too.

Rove

Rumsfeld

Rice

Hughes

Chaney

and uh...Bush

Is our 5 days up already?

who tries to be not only a comedian, but a profound comedian. This guy needs to go back and review his old Lenny Bruce dialogue.

Usually, they head to the Pile right quick.

...but still has worse hair than John Bolton

And the less said about the mustache the better.

I'm reminded of Star Trek IV somehow.

He's been shot; we're just trying to figure out if there was a Second Gunman.

As best I recall, Card was speaking of his own possible departure after two years or so or service, after a year or so into the first term. This was on Meet the Press. His point being that there is high turnover in Chiefs of Staff.

I wonder what took him so long. And maybe its just me, but he seems to have been 10x as visible the first 2-3 years as compared with those that followed.

of how the Republicans eat their own, create fodder for the MSM and the dems, and lend more credence as to why we are known as the stupid party.

Andy Card has served this president well and for many years.  He may have made a bad decision here or there, as we all do, but we should acknowledge all of the good decisions he has made instead of Monday morning quarterbacking and backbiting.

And I'm sure that Josh Bolten will call upon Andy frequently for his valued advice.

Just making sure...  :)

for the guy who tried to foist Miers on us. I'm glad he's leaving before the next vacancy.
