In Which Twain Is Proven Wrong

Mark Twain famously said that a lie travels halfway around the world before the truth even puts on its shoes.
One of the salutary effects of the rise of the Internet is that Twain--at last--is proven wrong. This post shows how and debunks the outlandish claims of someone desperate to prove Twain's point.
May I suggest to Glenn Greenwald that he might have better things to do with his time and life than to go around demanding that bloggers say certain things about certain issues? I am not sure why and how he got his nose out of joint due to the whole Deb Frisch affair but the solution is not for Greenwald to act as some self-appointed morals policeman expecting people to toe whatever rhetorical line he sees fit to draw and write posts that are determined by little more than his whim and fancy. We have seen this movie before. And we don't like it one bit.
But just in case, I fully align myself with this. And then some, just to be on the safe side.

Think of it as recreation time. It's just like how back when I was still active on slashdot and I was given moderator points and I hadn't seen anything interesting lately, I'd go into some of the lesser threads like in the BSD section and burn up my moderator points swatting trolls.
Kicking liberals can be an amusing distraction, especially when they've set themselves up to be kicked and don't even realize it. It's like the old Bloom County strip where the hunter is hunting liberals with his 'no nukes' call (this was the 1980s, after all): "No nukes! No nukes!" "There's one! *BLAM*" "Gun control, gun control!" "Aw, he got away" (from further away) "Ow! Socialized medicine, socialized medicine!"
How much time did Patterico spend on that post compared with the time Greenwald spent composing the lie?
I'd say Greenwald's lie beat the pants off Patterico's defense from a cost-benefit standpoint.
Plus Patterico rewarded this non-entity with attention. People who would never read this clown are now going to his site to see what he's written.
Sorry, Greenwald has beaten your socks off on this one.
Why does anyone care what he writes and what he demands?
