I Was Disenfranchised!

First, it was hot! Ninety-five degrees! Then I had get out of the AC and walk in. I figured they would have an air conditioned shuttle from the parking lot to the door. I go through all the trouble of getting clothes on and driving to the voting place, it's the least they could do.

Then 'The Man'  forced me to show him(actually it was an old lady) my voter registration card. They wouldn't let me vote by my nickname, Captain Toke, they insisted on having my "legal" name! Just another example of the man keeping me down.

At least they didn't make me show ID to prove that it was my voter card.

So finally I get in line to vote. It seems they have 'new' and 'improved'  voting machines. Mmmmmmm, it makes you wonder if 'The Man' is trying to fix another election. So I wait, and wait, and wait. And wait. Twenty-five minutes! I got TV shows to watch and internet poker to play! Besides, I can see waiting twenty-five minutes for a roller coaster,  a movie, maybe even a table at a The Olive Garden, but to vote?!

So I get in the machine to vote and it is all computerized! How am I supposed to vote on some newfangled, picturized typing machine? What happened to the good old 'punch-card' ballots?

Finally I get home and the guy I voted for is losing, bad. I just get home from voting and the guy already lost?!? I was disenfranchised!

I bet that little old lady (The Man) went into the back of the 'new' voting machine and changed my vote.

is that the machine should print out (on paper) a record of the choices you made for you to verify and drop into a box.  The machine can tally up its electronic ballots, but the official count should be done with the paper.  That way any discrepancy can be checked and dowsed with lawyers and accountants.

No tram or nuthin, really?  Didn't they at least give you a lottery ticket?
