Zombietime has a photo report from the latest pro-USMC and pro-troops rally, behind enemy lines in Berkeley, California.

The report also observes that the 400+ strong rally was "much larger than any of the previous anti-troop protests at the office organized by Code Pink or World Can't Wait."

On Saturday pro-Marine demonstrators, mainly from Eagles Up and Patriot Guard, roared into Berkeley for a day of reason, prayer, the Marines Hymn, and the National Anthem. In other words, four things brand new to the "town".

The group of mostly bikers have the distinction of holding the parade with the least leather and fewest chaps in the town's history. (Via Gateway Pundit)

They start with a parking space.

By Mark Kilmer

For a moment's diversion, we'll contemplate the lovely ville of Berkeley, California. The city council of this quaint town for carriers of outmoded political though do not care for what the United States Marines do in keeping Moslem extremists and the battalions of the PRC off their turf, so this city council has voted to give away the parking space in front of the Marine's recruiting office to the paranormal, sociopathic Code Pink organization:

Having failed in recent years to impeach President Bush and stop the war in Afghanistan, members of the City Council approved a resolution that encourages people to nonviolently “impede, passively or actively,” the work of the recruiters.

To that end, the council awarded the group, Code Pink, exclusive use of the parking spot for four hours one afternoon each week, for the next six months, to stage its protests. “If you’re going to join the Marines, you’re going to join the Marines,” said Zanna Joi, an activist with Code Pink, which favors cotton-candy-colored garb and in-your-face tactics. “But you don’t have to join the Marines from our town.”

They're also looking for a legal method to eject the Marines from their strange city.

Oh, it's not going to happen, and America fights back against this kind of thing. Read On…
